Accepting New Clients

Adebukola is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the District of Columbia and Maryland with over 5 years of experience offering culturally sensitive therapeutic support to individuals, groups, and couples. Adebukola’s clinical expertise spans university health centers, community-based organizations, and outpatient mental health clinics, allowing her to work with clients from a wide range of backgrounds and emotional needs. She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University and is currently a doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology program at The George Washington University. She has also served as an adjunct faculty member at Towson University, teaching courses on skills in the helping professions and psychopathology.

Grounded in a relational lens, Adebukola emphasizes the therapist-client relationship as a powerful catalyst for healing. Her therapeutic approach draws from cognitive behavioral theory, relational cultural theory, internal family systems, dialectical behavioral therapy, psychodynamic theory, and somatic experiential techniques. Together, these modalities aim to support clients in reintegrating their mind, body, and nervous systems towards greater stability and regulation.

Adebukola has a deep-rooted passion for working with individuals from high-pressured backgrounds, particularly those navigating interpersonal concerns, identity confusion, workplace stress, and other career-related challenges.

In addition to her clinical work, Adebukola is also committed to mentoring the next generation of clinicians. Drawing from her experience as both a clinician and educator, she provides supervision that integrates evidenced-based frameworks with a psychodynamic perspective. She is dedicated to fostering clinical skill development, attunement, professional identity formation, and reflective practice. She values taking a collaborative approach to supervision where curiosity is encouraged. She sees supervision as an opportunity for meaningful partnership, clinical excellence, and deepening the therapeutic craft.

Outside of her clinical and supervisory roles, Adebukola enjoys traveling, spending time with family, and makeup artistry. She also facilitates trainings and workshops, and supports organizations in developing mental wellness programming.
